White Box Retail
White Box Retail Projects are typically extremely fast moving projects, as many will be in leased spaced. The materials must achieve life safety, meet ADA codes, and maintain loss prevention standards. A large number of annual projects can result in substantial savings from NA Pricing and Value Engineering.
In High-End Retail, the doors and hardware are part of the overall design (unlike White Box Retail, where the doors are designed to blend in with the background.) Doors are the first store component a High-End retail customer sees; they help establish the mood and brand identity. These doors typically cost more and have longer lead-times. Both of these issues can be offset by the offerings of a National Account: discounts from buying in bulk and the advantage of keeping stock.
Convenience Stores typically have just a few prototypes, but a large number of projects – which requires expert Project Management. These stores have high foot traffic; the materials must be designed to withstand heavy wear and abuse.
Branding is an important aspect of Fitness Facilities. The design element materials are often selected to reinforce the brand identity. Large facilities will have many doors and may need special materials to meet the access control, sound deadening, or water-proofing requirements.
